Both a student and teacher of Metaphysics and Occult Philosophy, I attempt to be a practicing Metaphysician. Some times I am more successful at it than at others.
I have taken a somewhat non-standard path of study of Metaphysics and Occult Philosophy. Originally from the Mid-West I was career military, a Mustang, having served as both an enlisted man and an officer before retiring, and still hold a Commission as a Navy Lieutenant, Ret. My background, besides the military, is heavy on science in general, and have a special interest in Theoretical Physics. I am firmly of the opinion that one cannot truly grasp Metaphysics unless one also has a strong background in the Physics of the Material Plane.
After retiring from the Navy, I spent the next twenty-odd years working in Engineering Management and as a Consultant to the Semi-Conductor Industry. I have also been involved with the Orange County, California Metaphysical and Pagan communities in various ways (including teaching classes based on Theosophy, the Hermetic Doctrine and Occult Philosophy) for thirty years. My wife Marcelina and I operated Metaphysical Bookstores from 1986 to 2004. The Chela Bookstore in Laguna Niguel from 1986 to 1990, The Chela II Bookstore from 1991 to 1997 and the Mystical Minds Bookstore from 1997 through 2004, the latter two in Dana Point.
When we retired we moved to the mountains and are presently enjoying our mountain community in Crestline, CA.
